several roles within Te Waananga o Aotearoa over the years, as well as being
involved in the national working party with the New Zealand Qualifications
Authority (NZQA). Merehira’s appointment onto the Komiti Whakahaere with the Te
Arawa Lakes Trust makes her the only female on the committee.
achieving her Post Graduate Diploma in Business Enterprise (PGDipBE), Merehira,
enquired about the MBA Programme. However, after just beginning a new position
and having other commitments, she was unable to pursue the MBA. Five years later, Merehira knew that it was
time for her to return to study and excel in her career. "When I enquired about
the MBA again, I noticed that the College had a partnership with the University
of Waikato in delivering the MBA, and it was at that point that I made a
decision to enrol onto the programme.”
